Default Install question on Jakes Lift for G22

Has anyone installed the Jakes 6" Spindle Lift on a G22 with 22x10x11 tires with 3/5 offset wheels. If so did you have to trim the inside fenders to prevent any rubbing?

I haven't installed a Jake's and I really doubt you will have to trim. But if you do, I would pull the rubber guard around the cowl (inside dash area) and trim the inside part and then pull toward the inside floor area and reattach. I did this on my G16 with a 4 inch lift when I installed 22's. Keeps from having to mess up the outside area of the fender well plus the rubber molding covers what you trimmed on the inside.

I drill a small hole at the bottom of the inner fender in the middle and zip tie it to the spring on the shock and it will pull the inner fender away from the tire.

I did what Craig did, too. They didn't rub all the time but it was annoying when it did happen.

good luck,
gator.

Did you guys use a 4 inch or 6 inch lift. My initial reaction is the 6 inch lift should be ok, but I was not sure.

I put a 6 in on a g-22 and have put 5" lifts on g-16's and have had to pull almost all inner fenders over to shock to keep from rubbing the tires.
