Re: Considering this Custom Build - what do you think?
I've read a lot of positive post about "RoyPow" lithium batteries.
I think the RoyPow are "drop 'n drive" batteries. Do a search and see what others have said. $2,250 for a 60 AH pack seems a little on the high side? I could be wrong....but again...a search should clear that up. IMHO go for as much AH as you can afford. A 60 AH may be "adequate".....but a 100 AH would be "I just got done with 36 holes and I still got lots of juice left" kind of thing. MHO |

Re: Considering this Custom Build - what do you think?
As a counterpoint, I have the Allied 60 AH pack in my 2008 Precedent. They have worked flawlessly from day one, and I love the low maintenance. I get great range on the cart. I have the stock motor and controller, but I did the "code 5" reprogramming (Google Club Car code 5 -- costs about $100). Other than the batteries and the reprogramming, everything is stock. I easily hit about 20mph on the street. That's enough for me around the neighborhood and is actually a bit too fast on a golf course.
