Default Batteries very low before Charger will kick in.

I have the Model 13800 Accu Power Club Car Charger. My charger will not start to charge until my voltage is very low and the cart will hardly move. Is there a setting that will make the charger kick in at a higher voltage?

What kind of cart is it, and what voltage batteries are in it?

Have you checked the battery voltage individually and as a pack with a voltmeter?

If so what readings do you have please post back

Cart is a A9708 and batteries bought last year and have only been charged about 5 times.

I ran the cart today until it got really slow. Measured total voltage at the charger plug, 35.5v with digital meter. Each battery, #1=5.98, #2=5.97, #3 5.99,#4=5.96, #5=5,96 and#6=5.91 Charger activated. Let charge overnight, so I don't know exactly when the charger cut out but I know it charged more than 8 hours. Now total voltage 39.1v. Each battery, #1=6.54,#2=6.53,#3=6.52,#4=6.53 #5=6.53, #6=6.63v. Cart working fine.

My only complaint is the charger waiting until the voltage drops below 36v. and the cart is almost unoperative.

That's definitely a problem with the charger. My guess would be a problem with the automatic timer or relay.
