High Speed Banding / EMP Motors
Anyone with an EMP motor - did you pay to get the high speed banding? After a conversation with EMP - they said that the Advanced DC motor (stock) had a tendency to come apart under some of the higher loads as placed by an upgraded controller.
The 99 that I am building now will have the stock controller - maybe forever. Just trying to figure out if its worth it. Anyone with any experience? |

Re: High Speed Banding / EMP Motors
I ordered a EMP rebuild the other day and decided to go with the banding. After talking with Andrea at EMP their banding is NOT a kevlar material. I have heard of nothing but good things about EMP, so I took her advice for the banding she recommended. I hope I never have to have the banding tested(blowup) but maybe it will help me feel a little more secure.
