Default Who here really off roads these things?

I am wondering of the real ATV ability of a souped up golf cart? Could it hang with say a recon 250 on the trails/mud? I figure that little quad is kinda at the bottom so that would be my minimum. My wife owned one when we were in college. It was kinda fun:) So the real question is are they all show and no go?

My son uses our Club Car like a quad daily. I used to ride quads and three wheelers and I am amazed where these will go. I wouldnt be going up extremely steep hills without a rollcage or burying it in the mud without a winch. Theres a lot I wouldnt do with a quad for safety reasons so its common sense. My bro-in-law just got a brand new RZR so we will see if we can keep up, I doubt it though. 800cc vs. 341cc un- governed.

I do. Every single weekend, either in the desert near the house or at the dunes during the season. Constantly testing it to see what else we can torture it with.

I didn't buy these tires to run on the street It's a little wider than a quad and can go places most people won't take one. I can make my own trails through underbrush and climb over downed trees that no one in there right mind would attempt with a quad, it also likes mud but you need the right tires if your going in the deep stuff. Because the steering is not directly connected like on a quad your able to do things that they could never do. I'm also sure there are thing a quad can do that my cart would find difficult because of the size difference (it's a big cart). I have owned several atvs so I do have an idea of what they're capable of. Over all it seems to do anything if not more than a 2wd quad will with the exception of top end speed, but it will run over 35mph.

I take mine off road all the time!!

This is my wife coming down a hill (it is steeper than it looks here) the side she came up is much steeper.
