Club Car Project
Hey Guys I'm new to the forum and have taken on a new project. Thought you guys may want to check it out and maybe have a hand in it along the way. I bought me a 96 club car 36v with 2 year old batteries for $900. Since then I have ordered me a 6" super sport A-Arm lift and a set of 22" safari tires on 8" offset wheels (should be in on Friday). I have taken most everything off of it and begun the process of giving it a camo paint job. I started this project on monday and here are some pics of my progress so far.
p.s. I am well aware that putting this stuff on this type of cart will affect the performance. That's where you guys come in. I want to pimp this thing out and make it bad to the bone. |

Re: Club Car Project
Looks like U are getting a good start.
The bad news is it is 36 Volt. Upgrade everything to 48 Volt except the motor and U'll have a screaming daemon ! PS : nice shop |

Re: Club Car Project
I upgraded the bumpers on my Rhino, so I took the old one and did a little chopping. I then took a piece of angle iron and welded it to the inside, Cut out a few holes and presto, New Brush guard. I like it for now and saved $150.

Re: Club Car Project
Spent like 5 hours painting on this thing Friday night with my brother. Got the lift in on Saturday and really didn't feel like messing with the cart anymore this weekend. Gonna tackle it again on Tuesday and get the lift on.
I'm starting to think about the 48v conversion. I just want to add 2 more 6v somewhere. I've heard about some folks doing it in the fender wells, I think? Anyone have some pics of that? If that's too big a pain I'm just gonna stick them where the bags go. From what I've gathered on here by checking out endless posts is that I'm gonna need to put on a 500 amp controller, 400 HD Solenoid, Upgraded F&R, and a PB6 potentiometer. Did I leave anything out? Is all of this necessary? I'm just kinda learning as I go with this thing any input would be gladly appreciated. Here are some more pics of the progress. First Camo Pattern I really liked this pattern and almost just kept it this way http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/membe...mo-pattern.jpg Second camo pattern [/I] Final Camo pattern Got the fender flares on it. |
