1978 EZGO Electric Cart - Info

Im looking to buy a 1978 EZ-GO Golf Cart, that is electric. Its in kinda bad condition, that doesn't bother me cause im going to fix it up. It was really on my mind on converting the cart from Electric to Gas.

I found a 9HP motor, for $ 150 that runs great and has wires. So, I got that covered, cause I know a new motor is starting at $ 1,000.00 brand new. What do I have to do when converting the cart. Also, I know that EzGO are easier to convert cause a friend did it with a 9HP EzGo motor, but I never knew what else he needed.

So, if you know, after the motor what else do I need? Here are some pictures. I know its crap, but its nice and I got it.

P.S: How fast is this thing? Its all metal body. Thanks

You need to find a gas cart so you can rob all the gas parts off of it.

Fix it up and keep it electric if everythings there.

Caddy is right on, your going to blow lots of $$$$$$$$$ to convert and you can make a electric cart hall *** if you realy want to.

How can It be fast, the body is all metal. Plus, batteries, frame and such its getting there. The owner said, it needs new charger head, batteries, and tires. Plus, its 1978 so its old.

Metal Body?? ehh, I should just buy a going one for $ 600.00

Don't buy a junker and try to fix it up. You think you're saving money, but you will easily sink over twice the money in doing that than you could buy a cart that's already in good condition for.

How much are you gonna pay for the thing?And get some pics of under the seat, so people can see if everythings there and if its worth saving.

I'm not buying that crap anymore. It was just stupid for almost buying it. I found a better cart that to me is worth converting. Its nice, and newer. Check it out.
