Default I adjusted the throttle now the Parking brake locks as the brake pedal is pressed

82 club car resistor cart. I'd had another thread on switch troubles. It turns out the rod between the gas pedal and the switches needed adjusting, so that it would trigger all the micro switches.

I lengthened the rod a little by adjusting it, but now the parking brake engages as the brake pedal is pressed.

How can I fix this? I can't put the rod back because the gas pedal has very little space before hitting the floor, after the last speed is triggered.

If you have the service manual, you need to follow the adjustment procedure, exactly in the order it tells you too. Everytime you mess with adjustment of the go pedal, the parking brake, or the brake pedal, you have to do all 3 in the correct sequence.

I had issues like you have, but once i read the manual, and followed the step by step instructions, everything came out ok.

I don't have one. I can't find one online either.
