Help with tire wear
I've attached a picture. This is after about 16 months, mostly on pavement. My last EZGO was lift and the tires lasted over 3 years.
I've played with tire pressures, actually got MUCH worse when pressure was increased. I'm running about 10psi now. They're 22X11X12 |

Re: Help with tire wear
seeing as the OUTSIDE edge is wearing very badly....can we assume that BOTH fronts are doing that..... that shows that your "TOE-IN" (the front alignment) is off quite a bit. can't remember who but there us a good thread on setting your alignment and some good tools (How To's) to use when doing it.

Re: Help with tire wear
Looks like it was run really low pressure. You can't run as low as atv (<10) on the rear a (gas) cart is 600lb+riders/gear and most of it is on the rear. The front is lighter. I run 12-15 in the rear and 7-8 in the fronts, 15 is kinda hard I use that when I haul stuff in my dump box like sand or wood. Does give me nice top speed numbers though lol. For example most lawn tires you run at 12psi for equipment similar size/weight to golfcarts.

Re: Help with tire wear
My guess is off brand tires. Buy a QUALITY tire, like Carlisle, not Chinese junk and start there.

Re: Help with tire wear
Over inflation makes the center of the tire wear. I would inspect for an alignment problem I guess, the rear should be straight or you have a larger issue.
I don't run pavement, had my carlisle on since 99 and they still don't have that much wear. |
