I am either a genius or an idiot but I figured it out
For months I have been trying to figure out why I couldn't get my cart to idle down past a certain point. Lockman has been a big help through all this although at times we didn't always agree but this was the situation. Ever since a less then satisfactory paid engine swap, going back to the way it came from the factory micro switches and all. Prior to the swap I had a more then satisfactory relationship with a key start carryall FE290ed different return springs different weight springs but I could never get the right balance it either pulled to hard or not enough. This weekend I figured it out completely by accident while playing with some new throttle springs, the problem is and always has been the throttle cable from the black box to the governor all gummed up with sand and old lube. Something so simple gave me 6 months of trouble, there are no boots on either end of the cable and I would love any ideas on how to seal it
