Default Re: Scoring in cylinder, why did it happen?

A couple seasons ago the gas cap was accidentally left off and the cart ran for maybe a tankful of fuel before we noticed it. Could have collected a fair amount of dust over that span. There is a fuel filter but our cart paths are very dusty.
