Default 36V Lithium conversion F&R wiring

Newbie here. I am converting an 87 club car ds to 36V Allied lithium packs. Not sure what to do for the reverse connection to the positive. Do I just connect it to the same positive as the Forward gear? Yeah, stupid question but trying to not trash my new motor. Thanks for the help.

I recently converted a 36 volt resistor cart to lithium. Prior to converting I pondered this question and tried to think up ways of reducing the reverse speed. I ended up just connecting to pack positive. The cart could go full speed in reverse, but it was very controllable. You will not damage the motor.
