Jets need attention, especially if the idle screw doesn't yield a change in RPM. Also be sure there are no air leaks around the carb. Easy way to check is to spray WD-40 around the carb (away from the filter/intake) and see if the RPM's go up. If they do, thats a leak that needs to be addressed. Start with the idle circuit, get the unit idling where you need it then turn your attention to the main circuit. Read plugs to dial in the jetting for high rpm.
Have you reached out to the guys at Performance 670? Might be the best place to start. |

I know this post is old but, did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue with my 670 and mikuni set up from performance 670. Cannot get the jetting right no matter what I do to it. Performance 670 has been zero help. Will not run over 4000-4500rpm and fouls plugs out in a matter of minutes some times.
