Default Turns over but will not start.

Hey everyone, about to throw in the towel. I have a 98 txt with a Robin 295c engine. Was given to me, sat in a field. Hooked battery to starter motor and sprayed fuel in carb and got the engine to start to see if it was worth fixing. What I have done : Replaced all power and ground electrical wiring, rebuilt starter motor, replaced carburetor, replaced spark plugs wires and cleaned up plugs [has spark] , replaced starter solenoid, replaced fuel lines [fuel pump works] replaced timing belt, replaced and seated both intake valves [145 and 150 compression]. Problem I am having: press gas, starter turns engine over but it will not even try to run. Triple checked timing and it matches according to engine manual. Sprayed carb cleaner in carb and still no start. I have searched over the forum to see if I could find any more information to help me before bugging any of you all but I am at a dead end thank you in advance!

Well I guess I got in a hurry and accidentally had the wires swapped on the starter when I rebuilt it and the starter motor was turning the wrong direction. Got it to start thank you!

The old swapped wire trick. It happens to the best of us.

Last night, I was ready to install a flap track fairing. I was staring at it trying to figure out why the screw for the bonding strap was on the wrong side. All of the bonding wires were still original, and there was no way any of them would reach. It finally hit me that I was holding the fairing for the left wing instead of the right wing.
