Polaris RZR beadlock wheels on my cart??
Hello all,
I have a set of Polaris RZR beadlock wheels that I want to run on my Yamaha G1/EZGO FRANKEN-cart. I've found very pricey options online as far as adapters go. I'm trying to think outside the box and get creative. I have a lathe and drill press, so worst case scenario, I can make something myself. I was hoping to find an easy option, like finding some hubs that I can modify to fit or some reasonably priced adapters. I figure that I can't be the first person to want to run wheels like these on my cart. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Nik C. |

I'd spend the money on the adapters.

Hi Nik,
Re: current & new wheels, how do the lug patterns differ? ie; 4 on (x.x) vs. 4 on (y.y) If both are 4-lug, making adapters shouldn't be too difficult. |

Re: Polaris RZR beadlock wheels on my cart??
I've seen people make adapters out of welded steel plates/etc. I can only assume they did them strong enough, I don't know if they true them on a lathe when done or not. Anyway its cheaper than alum. I could get them made at work for example if i wanted some, but if I have to buy the alum its not cheap. We quoted 16x0.5" disks plasma cut for a job and they were $60 each. Roughly 128sqin of material since a 16 square was about the same, you would need maybe 5x5x3? 75sqin. Even if they are $40 each as a guess, that is 160 bucks for material is all I am saying. Then I'd have to cad them up and machine them. Steel is cheaper, its just a matter of making them true enough really. The ones I saw were plates with a hub between them.

Wheel adapters may be close to $100 each. May can buy new wheels cheaper. Is that your cart in the above picture?
