Re: How to make your own ICON programming cable
Just checking back in to see if anyone has found a little less expensive USB/Rs232 device. I have tried one I use for work to program control systems for Older Crestron devices, but it does not work for the Icon.
I figured it was worth asking :) Thanks for all the support on these forums. |

Re: How to make your own ICON programming cable
I did purchase cable from Amazon and I am having difficulty getting a connection. I am using a "Prolific" Serial / USB adapter connected to the cable - fairly common and works for other devices. Is it necessary to use only the "Canusb" adapter to establish connectivity with the Icon?

Re: How to make your own ICON programming cable
Can confirm. Got a brand new 40L yesterday and the pin configuration on the programming port is different and there's no CAN signals or nothing the CANUSB can read anyway. I guess they changed something in the new 2022's.

Re: How to make your own ICON programming cable
Cart is a 2019 I20. After no success with USB Serial adapter I purchased a CANUSB adapter and connected to cable. Works great. I guess its got to be a CANUSB - at least for a 2019 model.
Somewhat unrelated - is there any programming manual from ICON or NEOS explaining the various parameters and how they work together? Info here on the site is very helpful but I would think there must be a published manual? |
