Default Charger Setting - Cant figure it out

DPI Accusense-Charge Series High-Reliability Economy Series (Generation IV model) 36volt 18amp Golf Cart Battery Charger

Batteries
Interstate Gc2-xhd-utl (6) 6 volt

Right now i am using setting #3 and it seems the batteries drop their charge much faster according to my gauge. Starts at 10bars and within 2 mins drops 2-3 bars...still in the green but never was like that

Probably should be using Mode-4 for Interstate brand batteries.

However, the problem is more likely related to the fact it is cold outside and lead-acid batteries have less storage capacity when cold.

A battery's storage capacity (AH rating) is rated at 80°F and only has about 50% of its rated capacity at 0°F. See attached chart.

I will try this. My cart is stored in a heated garage however it’s only 50 in the garage but not 0 like outside

At best, that means you are starting out at about 85% of whatever your battery pack's rated storage capacity that has been reduced by the normal aging process and begins declining further as the batteries lose heat in the cooler outdoor temperature.

From the information that I got when I called DPI, mode 4 or Trojan is basically a dumping ground for anything not listed in their chart.
