Default Battery Rack Replacement

Hello, I recently purchased a 2000 model year cart with a very deteriorated battery support rack. I've seen several "replacements" in catalogs made from aluminum but they don't appear to be 100% identical for my cart.
Mine appeared to be easy to drop out but when I removed the batteries, I see 2 bolts toward the front that sit under the body, and there is no way to get them out without lifting the body. The replacements do not show these 2 tabs which bolt into a support at the rear of the floor. Are these just not used on the replacements or ???
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks .... Keith

Several on here have used these with good results

This will work on our cart.

Know someone who welds? You can make the exact try for $20. Buy some decent angle iron and its no problem. I will post a pic of mine up when its done.

Anyone use the aluminum trays before? I did think about it but was worried they end up bending from the weight.

Aluminum trays are fine, they don't bend. The entire Club Car DS chassis is all aluminum except for the very front shock tower assembly. Given the choice I'll take an aluminum frame over steel any day.

Removing the body is going to be the easiest way to replace the battery rack. The old rack can be cut out, which is actually much easier then trying to fight with those rusted old bolts, but you have 2 tabs under the body at the front and 2 tabs at the cross member in the rear.

I guess with a lot of patience, and getting the cart on the lift, you may be able to cut it out with out removing the body, but then you need to make sure you purchase a new rack that does not have the 2 front and 2 rear tabs.

I just got done wrestling with my new rack and dear God, I'm exhausted. Just need to replace a few bolts I had to grind off.
