Battery check question.
I am going to go on the theory that there is no stupid question if you do not know the answer.
Just bought a cart and DMV and am now trying to make sure everything is OK. I know I will be replacing all cables as there are some problems there. Anyway, I bought a TXT 2003. All batteries show a charge of 6.8 after charging and 6.3 a few hours later. But, I am showing the entire pack to be 20.3 after charging and 18.2 later. I am taking the reading by putting the leads on the negative of first battery in series and the positive of the last. My question is if this is the correct place to take the reading. Thanks for any info. |

Re: Battery check question.
TXT batteries are all connected in series. Each post has a cable going to the post on the next battery except for 2 posts on the far passenger side these connect to the cart. They are the main + and -.
Every other battery cable just connects to another battery, got it? 36v is an absolute minimum.... |

Re: Battery check question.
It sounds like to me you are only reading three batteries. If you are reading 6.3 on each one then you should read the whole pack at about 38.
Be sure your are checking the ends of the series and not somewhere in the middle. Follow the charger port cables and check where they connect to the battery pack. That should be the + and - ends of the series. |

Re: Battery check question.
See that forest over there? Naw, too many trees in the way.
I was measuring diagonally across the pack. 38.4 right now. Thanks guys. |
