What lift kit works with 8 inch wheels?
I have 2006 electric ezgo and was wondering what lift kits I can use with 8 inch wheels and 22 inch tires?

Re: What lift kit works with 8 inch wheels?
Any lift will accommodate 8" wheels as long as the wheels have the correct offset. Your stock 8" wheels do not and will not work with ANY lift kit.

Thanks for the info. Any idea what offset is needed? Will stock wheels work with spacers?

Re: What lift kit works with 8 inch wheels?
You sure about that Gorno ? I am pretty sure the factory sold EZ-Go 4" lift will work without wheel spacers. Things are close but will clear and it looks a little goofy and this is only with the factory steel wheels. My local dealer has done it on carts that he has the lifts and is waiting on wheels for. I do not know about any other wheels. I do believe you would be happier with at least a 10" rim anyway. Less bounce in the tire sidewalls..

Re: What lift kit works with 8 inch wheels?
I can confirm that the factory 4" lift works with 8" centered steel wheels and 18 x 8.5 x 8 tires. I ran my cart that way for a season before I picked up the new wheels & tires. The limiting factor for the 8" centered wheels is the tire width will max around 9" before scrubbing the suspension.
Hope this helps. |

Its all good. Like I said, there is not a bunch of clearance.. I just seem to get the screwball stuff. Member the 2000 PDS I had ? All the parts looked like a DCS but once I pulled the cover, PDS..

I think the key is that you can't go with a much wider tire without a wheel with more backspacing/offset.
