can i add a battery or 2 more to my stock cart to make it faster?
if i added another battery or 2 to my stock ez go cart would that make it faster or help it climb hills better? just curious! have an extra 2 batteries and thought maybe id try that if i could figure a way to get 1 in there!

A voltage increase will make the motor spin faster increasing speed. Your stock Curtis controller will not tolerate this new voltage, and all the magic smoke will release from the box. Yo would need a new controller, solenoid, and a charging solution to do this correctly.

k cool thanks! im going to do as you said yesterday and upgrade my cables to 4g then get a 400 alltrax controller!

what is the axe programmable unit? whats the difference between the programable unit and the non? can i have a programmable unit in a series golf cart?

When you upgrade the voltage you need a compatible controller. Ie: 48v will need a 48v controller 72v will need a 72v controller. Nice thing is if you go from 36v to 48v you can use the same motor.

The programmable unit will work on a series cart, I have one in mine. It lets you change performance parameters via software on your laptop. Nice feature, but costs a bit more.

The programmable(AXE) is almost twice the price as the NPX. Mikes seems to have the best prices on them.
