Default 2008 Club Car Precedent

Hey all, new here, I have a lifted 08 Precedent, and I feel like my batteries will need replacing soon. They are draining very fast. I can only drive about 25 min until it starts to slow down. But my concern is, I had to basically limp it home today because it was acting so dead. But then I went back out about an hour later to pull it into the garage, and I turned it on and pulled it in and then it acted like it had a good charge? Zippy from the start and I drove it a lap around the yard and it seemed fine, which concerns me that it's not the batteries that is completely the problem. Anybody else experience this?
