Default Batteries

Can you have batteries of different amp hours in series ?
what about 4 - 12v in series with two added in parallel ?
What would the added ah be ?

Don't think that would work, it would still draw on the other 2 batteries not in parallel more than the 2 that are. And the different capacities of batteries would further throw things off. The only way you could possibly make a series/parallel configuration work would be 8 12v batteries, but they would all need to be the same. And i'm pretty sure you'd need one heck of a big charger to keep that pack up...

If you're looking for more range/capacity then you're better off with 8 6V batteries, that's much more common. Or go with a Lithium conversion, see a lot of those lithium guys going 30+ miles on a charge with a lot of mods.
