Default G2 Ran out of oil..

I loaned it to a friend.I did'nt check the oil an he didnt either. He ran it for nearly an hour then it started slowing dsown. He said it didnt make any noise...just got salower an slower. When he parked it he checked the oil...bone dry.

He filled it an ran the engine.Naturally it knocks.

Would like some info on where to go from here.Looking for the cheapest way out.

That sucks! Pull the engine out, tear it down and inspect the damage. That's the only way you will know what you need to replace.
