Default 96 ezgo 36volt series

Batteries are charged and the solenoid clicks but does not move. Seems like the f&r switch is acting up it will not click every now and then. Could it be the f&r or what?

If the solenoid click is intermittent it could be any one of 4 switches in the activation circuit. They are located in the following places, listed from B+ origin to the solenoid.

Reed switch(charge receptacle)
Micro switch(ms) F&R
keyswitch
peddle box ms

If the solenoid clicks and the cart goes intermittently that's a different problem.

Disconnected the batteries and now it works. Wow, but sluggish when first taking off in forward and not as fast once going.

I'm so sorry I didn't spell it out for you. Disconnected then reconnected.

sorry......couldn't help myself.....I t was just too easy.

as already mentioned....the issue is in the activation circuit. and most likely one of the micro switches. it could just be "sticky". another member had a similar problem this week, and one of the arms on one of the switches got a little bent some how.....

intermittent issues are the hardest thing to get fixed.

Measure the battery bank voltage under sluggish operation. You may have two problems, activation circuits intermittent and low battery voltage.

Could it be the throttle sensor that's went out. I had a new f&r switch so I replaced it for the heck of it and it worked great for about 5 minutes. Then back to clicking solenoid and no movement.

When you get your voltmeter out and make some requested voltage measurements at various points maybe some of us can help you figure out what is wrong rather than guessing. It could be any number of things that will cause it do what it is doing some of which have already been mentioned on this thread.
