Just a thought and a place to start;
I had this happen on a friends buggy last year and found that the carb had a bit of a come apart, If you can get to it easy enough very carefully remove the bowl and look for a little BB laying in it. The best way is to remove the carb and get it on the bench.......

But here's a pic of what I found with hers, It's an odd and somewhat unlikely failure but it's something to check. That BB is swedged in there to block that casting port, Look close at the pic and you can see a crack in the casting where it fell out. Without that BB the fuel flows around the main jet and floods it out....

I was able to stuff it back in there and close the crack but it didn't seal properly, Had to get her a new carb and Vroom Vroom away she went

Any other suggestions where to start troubleshooting next? I'm at a loss and can't find any shops that will work on the 2stroke.

Just because you put on a new carb doesn't mean that it's not the problem, Especially if it's a Chinese aftermarket

cheap chinese carbs generally cause more problems than they solve. especially if it's flooding or running PIG RICH, typical chinese carb problem. Clean the old OEM Mikuni really well and put it back on before trying to troubleshoot anything else. OTherwise you are very likely to be chasing your tail trying to fix something that you caused.

Do a search on here for "chinese carb". you'll maybe find 1 or 2 posts where they worked fine. The other 10,000 posts you'll see where they replaced it with an OEM carb, or by cleaning their OEM carb and the cart was fixed.

Started tearing down yesterday and found my reed cage is cracked. Reeds look good, just need the cage and can't find it anywhere. I found all the posts on here in search of the same thing to no avail. Anyone have a lead on where I could pick up just the Reed Cage?

Ouch

Might just be your lucky day. My 3PG turned out to be a turd with over a half inch of play on the connecting rod/crankshaft. So I'm parting out the motor to recoup my investment and drop a predator motor in it for the kids to play with. I was literally minutes away from putting the reeds on ebay when dabble inn pointed me to this thread. Theres 1 other set on Ebay right now with 4 watchers for like $100 plus shipping. Seems excessive lol

Make me an offer over $400 and this beauty can be yours lol (just kidding, pm me an offer and we can work something out. I'd much rather help someone here than put it on Ebay)
