PDS 2000 model...wont go

Been running fine for a year or so...but now...nope.Got rained on pretty good.Got wet in the battery compartment.Even the controller and solenoid.After it dried out...it ran okay.Now..wont charge unless I puul up on the plug...hard.Battery pack at 37.3 after a days rest.No go!reverse buzzer works in reverse...but no go.

I had the cover off the ITS housing when it got wet.

Any help where to start???

P.S.Batterys are old but read okay.One battery I had to repair a terminal with a screw into the lead to attach a cable.These are 6V batterys...each read around 6.3 to 6.4
