Default My Workhorse

Here's some pics of my Workhorse, it's paid for now so I can post pics of it. It has a Briggs 18 horse, K&N filter, 27X12 Holeshot tires, after market wheels, electric dump bed. I pull a 6X12 trailer for yard work. I bought this from Richie another BGW member that lives close by, he did most of the work to it, I just changed wheels/tires, seat covers, and some wiring.

I made a pair of heavy angle iron Rocker panels that I'm going to mount a cage/roof mount on, also using the front fender windshield mounts I will come around the front with a bumper and brush guard. I have alot of plans for this and this cart will not get sold cause this is the type of cart I've been working toward getting from the beginning. I am dissapointed in the performance of the Briggs 18 V Twin, I thought it would have more getup and go, it has the power to pull the trailer but it will not even attempt to spin a tire not even the 23's it had on it. I'm not a Briggs performance guy but I am studying up on them. It has a quiet muffler but the intake noise is unbelieveable, I can't figure that out?????

I have 4 more Briggs V twins, 3-16's and a 14, I read the only difference between the 16 and 18 is the carb??? so with that I'm going to build one of the 16 horse engines not as a race engine but as a higher output and see what happens.

Rifter, the only difference between the 18 and 20 is the carb, same for the 21 and 23 hp motors. Here's a chart I made to keep the confusion down a bit for mr

HP Bore Stroke C.I. Disp/ CC's Height
16 2.68 2.60 30 479 17.25
18/*20 2.83 2.76 35 570 17.25
21/*23 2.97 2.76 38 627 17.75
31 3.37 3.07 54 896 25
35 3.37 3.41 61 993 25

Well, the chart didn't translate here very well. PM me if you want me to E-Mail it to you......

Thank you Flintrock, so I guess I need to build the 18 for performance and just use the others for mild conversions?
