Re: A look inside Nissan Leaf lithium battery pack
Both my lithium conversions have been 53v nominal. I would love to see someone do a 72v lithium cart, that would be killer. I've done a couple 72v FLA battery carts and they both has insane torque.

Re: A look inside Nissan Leaf lithium battery pack
Have you ever looked into the chevy volt battery packs here's a link on e-bay.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/45Ah-Lithium...d8a0ef&vxp=mtr They're saying 1volt per 1lbs sell up to 155v packs relatively cheap... and you can buy 22v 45v, 89v, 111v, 155v,... packs... Maybe in the future for me..I have my hands full with a stock cart for now..

Re: A look inside Nissan Leaf lithium battery pack
That ebay link is still just Hybrid Auto Center selling batteries.
The Volt cells are of course ok but if you want to separate the cells for custom configurations it is very difficult. The tabs are spot welded together from what i remember. If you can use the module voltages and Ah as-is then it might be a viable solution to a lithium conversion. |
