Default My 1993 Club Car only runs when its cold

Hello,

My 1993 Gas Club Car only runs when its cold. It will run fine as long as I am driving it. If I come to a complete stop, however, it will not start again until the engine is cold. Spark is weak, but it is there. Can anyone help me with this problem? Its driving me crazy!

Thanks

I did check my spark both when its cold and hot. Spark is not bright blue on either, but is yellow when it is warmed up and will not start

if its a good steady spark than the cart should start even though thats weak, but man that sounds like a coil issue thats getting hot and quitting till it cools off and than it will start again, have you checked to makre sure your getting fuel when it quits? if not do so when it quits take the line off at the carb and crank over see if its pumping fuel..........................

I think i figured it out. You were right! It was the coil, but what I did was replace it with a combo coil ignitor for a 1997 Club car. I killed two birds with one stone and it saved me about $70.00 instead of buying the coil and ignitor seperatly for the 1993 Club Car and it works SWEET! Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it. Hopefully this will help others with the same problem!

the newer coil has the ignitor built into it as apposed to being mounted right against the engine behind the rpm limitor..........al you would need to do is unplug the single wire on the old ignitor i beleive thats all but i havn,t replaced a old style with a new but i know it works and like mentioned it saves you a few bucks..........only thing i don,t like about the nrew setup is it seems to go bad a lot more than the old setup............but thats another story........glad to hear its running.........................
