Tucker, under your rear seat I noticed you have a battery case, prob for the winch radio and extras, but whats the extension cable sticking out of it for, got an on board trickle charger for that xtra battery?

Yes, that is exactly what it is, onboard 5amp charger hiding under the case, I monitor by voltmeter in dash

Very nice. You've managed to wrap up nearly everything I want in a perfect buggy. Great work! BTW, how's that cage coming?

Re: Club Car Project #2
I've enjoyed going through every one if these posts and seeing all your great pictures. Very nice job!
The question I have is you added a 600AMP SC, Solenoid and #2 wires, but left the stock motor? I didn't even know you could do that and get any benefit! Mine has crap torque right now and really needs an upgrade. I had a ditch in the woods on a steep incline stop mine cold for a couple minutes until I rocked over it. Can you tell me a bit more about your performance with that setup? Super helpful thread! |

Agree 👍 ...While we wait for him to chime back in, I can tell you from first hand experience, those mods with a stock series motor make a huge difference in TQ! I'm talking massive, night/day kind of difference. I no longer have to gun-it to get over obstacles - it's just goes over them now and waits for you to tell it what to do next. Don't expect any difference in top speed - that only comes from higher volts, or speed motor, or gears, or downhill 😜 |
