Re: 400 or 500 amp?
The 400 amps will be more impressive in 48v than 36v.
Hope this helps. |

Re: 400 or 500 amp?
I have NPX 400 amp, it is good and you can definitely tell the difference from the stock controller....but, I think if I had to do it over again I would probably pay a little more and get the AXE because you can program it to suit your needs. NPX is an easy transition from stock, but I want more now, so think ahead when doing upgrades. Hope this helps.

Re: 400 or 500 amp?
My cart is a 1998 series if that helps. IF BOTH ARE RATED AT 400AMPS, WHAT MORE COULD YOU GET OUT OF AXE OVER THE NPX. SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS BUT THIS IS MY FIRST CART. ANOTHER CONCERN WOULD BE IF I DECIDED TO LIFT THE CART IN THE FUTURE WOULD THE 4OOAMP. BE ENOUGH FOR A 6" LIFT WITH SOME 23"

Re: 400 or 500 amp?
The 500 Amp will give you more Torque. If you live in a hilly environment, I would go ahead and spend the extra $$ and go for the 500.
Regardless of that, the AXE is the way to go. The NPX was built for those that want a cheap stock replacement. Once you do the lift, you are going to want to be able to "tweak" the controller to suit your driving needs. Slow ramp up for trailer pulling, fast ramp up for popping wheelies, ability to reduce top end speed for when the kids/grandkids wanna stay over for the weekend and use the cart....... |
