For those of you that have replaced the controller on your carts due to it being "bad," what "symptoms" were you experiencing that led you to replace it? Cart acts like it wants to run when the accelerator is pressed, but then all of a sudden dies.

Dead YDRE controller most often is just that, "dead", no response from cart, no solenoid click, usually no reverse buzzer. Based on your description, I would ask that you report back on which items work correctly, and what the voltage drops to as the pedal is pressed.

When I turn on the key, I get the solenoid click. I can put it in reverse, and get the reverse buzzer, but when I press the pedal, the cart acts like it is going to take off and then dies. I have to cycle the tow/run switch to get the buzzer again. Can I test the voltage at the charging port when I press the pedal?

Yes you can test voltage that way. This method would only expose a bad battery, or cable linking the batteries, not any cables/components not directly on the batteries.

Connected leads across all 4 batteries because the clip would not stay in the charging port. Read around 50.5V. When I pressed the pedal, the voltage didn’t drop, but the buzzer stops and I have to use the tow/run to reset. Video link below shows the process.

I have continuity across tow/run switch, and accelerator switch. I have replaced the batteries and the solenoid. Each battery has 12.5V.

So, I pulled the connector plug going into the controller to check some of the voltages and I was getting the correct voltage on all of the pins except pin 7. This should be a variable voltage coming from the throttle position sensor as the pedal is pressed. Am I missing something, or if this voltage is not changing as I press the pedal, does that mean that the sensor is bad?

I did all of the checks according to:

I realize this thread is very old, however I am experiencing the exact same issue as OP. Was there any resolution to this? I've read a bit on this but not sure where to really begin.
