securing my cart...
hey all,
i will be taking my cart to the beach next week for vacation. the area is "golf cart friendly" and plan on enjoying riding it to and from the bar, pier, etc. it has a stock on/off key switch but i understand ALL EZGOs are keyed alike. how can i secure it when i am enjoying a tasty beverage or otherwise leaving it unattended? thanks in advance. shrp |

Re: securing my cart...
Unique key switches are available, but I doubt you can get one in hand by next week unless you buy it from a dealer. I think I'm going to use a spare ignition switch from my Charger and a seat latch one of these days.

Re: securing my cart...
a simple hidden "kill switch" will work
or you could put in a keyed run/tow switch |

Or lots of little things. Pull the controller fuse. But like CTD said, a hidden kill switch is best.

Re: securing my cart...
My anti-theft device on my Club Car is putting it in maintenance mode. Most people don't know anything about it. If they put a key in and it's in maintenance mode, the motor will only run in neutral. I would imagine most gas carts have a similar feature. But in an electric cart there wouldn't be, so a simple kill switch is your best bet.
