Default From 8-6V bats to 6-8V bats Charging question

I have a Marathon 48V conversion that is currently running 8-6V bats. Tired of almost flipping passengers off the back. Doing wheelies is cool but not with kids on the back. Switching to 6-8V bats. My question is how can I charge them until I get the $$ for a 48V charger? I have a 36V and 12V charger. Thanks in advance for they help

Use a credit card
Really the chargers are designed to charge a certain 3 of cells....so this could be a bad idea

Not really.... The eight volt is not going to like the 12v charger..... Your 36 isn't matched for the 32v @ 16 cells or the 40v @ 20cells. ONLY 36v and 18 cells

Thanks Scotty. I guess I'll be requesting some overtime at work. I found a Schauer 48V charger on Ebay for a price I can afford but still need to get new batteries. Jim

The one I found is only 15 amps and comes with the right charger end. It is $240.00 plus $20.00 S/H with a one year manufactures warranty. Any info you could give on the Lester chargers would be appreciated. I keep seeing chargers for Yamaha ect. but don't know how to adapt it to an Marathon.

You can buy the plug and put it on a yamaha. It is a 17amp charger....
15 is probably the smallest i would reccomend.
