Problem with the MCOR?

At times my 2007 Club Car AQ0707-728316 will just click when pressing on the pedal. Sometimes when I first get in it and other times when I have been driving for few minutes. When it happens I just keep pressing the pedal up and down and switching between F/R and it will finally go.

Try & press the pedal up & down about 20 30 times in a row and see if that helps.

I think the large paper-clip jumping the 2-pin MCOR connector will get you going.

I have read about the pedal pumping...just haven't tried it yet. If that helps then would that indicate a bad MCOR?
Sergio could tell me more about the paperclip jumping the 2-pin MCOR connector?

The pumping part cleans the resistance track of the MCOR, the symptoms of an oxidized track are usually pedal dead spots or inconsistent speed control.

The micro-switch inside the MCOR failure is unfortunately common, the symptoms will be as You described.

You will always hear a "click" since it is a double make/break butterfly switch and ussualy only one side goes bad.

The micro-switch does a on/off connection on the 2-pin connector.

A large paper-clip is the exact diameter of the Deutsch connector pin/socket.

Unplug the 2-pin connector from the MCOR, bend and place the paper-clip inside the connector on the harness side so it completes the connection.

Put some electrical tape so it will not short anywhere as there is 48v at the connector.

If you have to do that and it works then you will need a replacement or new micro switch, the pedal up and down and the paperclip seemed to get people out of a stranded cart at times but neither one is a long term solution. Unfortunately it seems that these MCORs are a weak point in the club cars, guess I need to make it a point to carry a large paperclip in the cart at all times lol.

So I think that answers my next question. I shouldn't leave it in there? I just took it out for a quick run and no problem other than the dash light is coming on.

I don't remember off the top of my head but I think it is a safety to prevent out of control situations, so you need it. It will get you home though, I wouldn't go too much without.

Just to be safe I going to take it out and put it back in when I'm ready to test it again. First test really wasn't long enough.
