And I don't know if I'm imagining this or not, but it seems like there's more power with the intake air coming from outside as opposed the sucking in hot air from under the seat...

Cooler more dense air will make more power. So it probably is. Might be running slightly leaner too.

Dunno but not having to put filters in the airbox all the time is well worth it.

A few pics with the Mudlites installed. Still got the others for pavement.

Yah! That's a problem with my Kohler powered JD 400 mower tractors. I spend way too much of my allowance on air filters. They're about 20 bucks a pop now here in Ontario. So.. I am currently adapting an oil bath pre-cleaner for the mower tractor I use the most. Dave's nifty looking hose set up is something like I'm gonna have to do to connect the pre-cleaner to the stock air filter on the 20 HP Kohler twin.

The one I'm using is actually for a Ford 800. I have an 800 tractor with a good pre-cleaner so I don't need the NOS spare I have. Never been used. I considered putting it on my cart but it would have been overkill on a 13 HP clone. That never stopped me before but there just isn't enough room.
