You are ahead of me. I have 3 carbs for one engine. The original adjustable 2 circuit VC carb, the Shepard built 3 circuit EXP-S and last, a close out VC non adjustable 2 circuit.

Yes that looks there is a limiter cap on the idle jet.

A guess at where to start would be 1 1/4 turns on both BUT make sure you have a stable idle before tuning in the main jet.

Another note my idle is around 1050 which allows shifting and the engine fires right up like it is F.I. without the choke. This is using the S/G for starting that spins the engine a whole lot faster than a stock clone starter would.
