Frame repair
I have an older EZGO golf cart and the frame is rusting out right at the front of the battery compartment where the two square box beams curve down and level out going toward the front of the cart. The worst spot is right at the very front of the battery compartment.
It's rusted so badly the card has a swayback look, it's slightly bent right in the middle at the point where partition is between the driver and the battery compartment. Is there a fix for this, can new rails be bought to replace the rusted ones? It looks like whoever owned this before me put an aluminum tray to hold the batteries, but the frame is steel. We just replaced all the batteries and the motor and speed control are working so I hate to junk it out. |

Re: Frame repair
Welcome !!!!
I believe you can cut out the area and weld up some new spots for it, others have done similar to their carts. |

Re: Frame repair
Good the know, thanks. Do you happen to know if those curved rails are sold by anyone ... I don't have any forming tools, especially for square steel tubing.

Re: Frame repair
Nope, the frame is not sold or parts of it, you could always look for a donor cart, or take it to someone to rebuild it for ya.
