Hi, I always wonder how those 22" wheels effect power or torque of a gas cart - as i have quite steep hills on gravel roads to climb will i have to think about smaller tires than 22" ... btw. i fitted a stronger spring to the secondary clutch (yamaha G2)?!
Thanks a lot, Florian from Austria

Do you carry passengers often? Or is it mainly just you? Passengers can really slow a cart down on hills.

Two persons is more the rule then the exception… the roads max out at 15% gradient… I ordered 22“ today and have been skeptical the moment after 😅 20“ would have been the more reasonable decision for this arrangement and purpose … is there someone out there who has a different opinion? 😅 thanks!

Dont forget though the bigger the tire the taller the gearing and more power to the wheels you loose. This is more of a big deal on electric carts where the loss shows in both loss of battery range and hill climbing power.

That said I have 2 gas g1's one lifted and one lot... the lifted cart is much faster than the non lifted cart but the stock cart has better hauling capability .

I also have a 6" lifted electric cart with 20" tires im going to swap for 22" soon since ive gone to 72v and a high torque motor.

thank´s - that´s why I decided to delete my order and ordered 20" tires - it´s a working car at first and everything should be built to last and to fulfill it´s needs it will be used in the woods to hunt and do the works around hunting... there´s still quite a bit to do as lifting, new shocks, rear bed instalment, roof, roofrack etc. etc. i will post pics when its finished!

that´s how it looks now with the 20" tires the lift is the cheap 4" block lift - fair to say that we used longer springs of a BMW R100 motorcycle - so the lift is more about 5" i would say... they work great and was a cheap upgrade at €70 for four springs...
