Trailer size Question?
I have a 1987 club car ds 36 volt and want to add a 6 inch lift and 22 x 8 x 7 tires. What is the wheel base going to be? I have a 49 inch width trailer. I hope it is enough. I thank anyone that can help me.

Re: Trailer size Question?
Depends on what wheel offset you plan on running. Im pretty sure you'll be wider than that though.

Re: Trailer size Question?
if the trailer is 49 inches wide you m ay have issues as the cart is 48 inches wide stock. The wheel base is the length from the center of the front tire to the center ofthe rear tire lenght wise. Hope that helps.

Re: Trailer size Question?
It depends upon the wheel offset.
My 2007 CC Precedent now has a 6" a-arm lift kit with 14" x 23" wheels and tires. After installation, my cart is 47.5" wide. |

Re: Trailer size Question?
Good point Rep. I always just use the 48 inch rule of thumb for stock. But if he gets rims that keep the tires under the body he may be okay.

Re: Trailer size Question?
He's talking about adding 22" tires. Tucking those under the body would be impossible.

Re: Trailer size Question?
Stock tires are 8 wide if he keeps the same offset and gets 10 inch tires it won't fit.

Re: Trailer size Question?
Start looking for a 5'x8' trailer.

Re: Trailer size Question?
He may need to add a few inches of overhang on either side of the trailer to make it fit depending on his budget. I carry mine on a 6X12 that way I have plenty of room. My neighbors cart (2007 CC DS with 23"X10"X12") has tires that only stick out of the fender by about 1-1/2" on each side. so with that in mind, it gives 3 extra inches and would be too wide for his trailer. I'm not sure what the off set is on my neighbors wheels though.
