Need advice on TXT wiring issue
Hey guys I'm working on an early 2000's TXT that when it came here would not crank. I have narrowed it down to this. When the ground of the ignitor is connected to the grounding post the cart will not even crank. When unhooked the cart will crank, but has no spark. I swapped the ignitor out for a good one, and it still does the same thing. Any idea? Or has anyone seen this issue before? Thanks for any help!

Start by checking the bracket that ignitor mounts to. More than once those have gotten rusty and lost ground. From there the braided ground cable goes to bottom post on starter/generator and then to fan housing where coil mounts. Most of the time I just remove the bracket with solenoid and ignitor and clean it good and also frame of cart where it bolts in with two 5/16th bolts. They got to be rust free .
