Treatment of battery lugs when the plating is removed
I am making a new set of cables for my cart as a part of a major re-build. I am using #2 wire and I am wondering what is the best method to protect the lugs from corrosion. I have ground the edges of the lugs of the cables that run between the resistor board to the speed switch at the ends that attach at the switch. I had to do this due to the width wouldn't fit. When I ground the edges I exposed the copper beneath the plating. What is the best method to treat the exposed copper? Thanks for the help!
I have a 2002 DS Series Club Car. Jim |
