1977 Ez-go
We just bought a 1977 EZ-GO golf cart with a 2 stroke Robbins engine. Can we change the point ignition to an electronic ignition?

Thanks Dew - We are having issues with the points. We may dacide to replace them. How do you take fan wheel off? Is it pressed or threaded on?

Re: 1977 Ez-go
its pressed on. you might be able to tap it with a rubber mallot
with some pressure on it and it will pop off. but better yet use a puller (dont loose the key!!) 30 to 40 bucks should buy you the whole works. brushes, points & condenser. my 76 always has enough power in the battery to start it with the radio & lights goin good luck, Dew |
