Default 1977 Ez-go

We just bought a 1977 EZ-GO golf cart with a 2 stroke Robbins engine. Can we change the point ignition to an electronic ignition?

Thanks Dew - We are having issues with the points. We may dacide to replace them. How do you take fan wheel off? Is it pressed or threaded on?

its pressed on. you might be able to tap it with a rubber mallot
with some pressure on it and it will pop off.
but better yet use a puller (dont loose the key!!)
30 to 40 bucks should buy you the whole works.
brushes, points & condenser.

my 76 always has enough power in the battery to start it
with the radio & lights goin

good luck, Dew
