2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt Controller Programming
Hi, I just joined the forum and I recently purchased a stock 2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt cart. It maxes out between 14-15 mph. In reading some threads here, it appears that some members have the ability to unlock "Freedom Mode" to get a little more speed and others can program more performance. Who do I contact for reprogramming? The cart is stock now, but I am adding a 6" lift, rear seat and 22" tires. 80% or so will be on pavement but it is a little hilly here. No golf involved here; just looking for something to run around the subdivision.
Thank you! |

Re: 2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt Controller Programming
There are a few people here that can modify it but be warned that controller really isn’t rated for those tires and will shorten its lifespan. You might be better off saving up for a new controller package. Start with where are you located?

Re: 2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt Controller Programming
I am in Pooler, GA just outside Savannah. I installed the 6" lift kit and 22" tires and got 18-19 mph. I assume that unlocking Freedom Mode would get a few more mph? What controller would be better? Would I need to get both a controller and a motor or just a controller? Thank you!

Re: 2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt Controller Programming
Freedom mode and an adjustment to the profile on stock tires will get you to 19.5. With 22” tires would get you to low 20s. Throw an Alltrax xct400 plus solenoid in there and you would be pushing high 20s with some umph behind it.

Re: 2013 EZGO TXT 48 Volt Controller Programming
Will I need someone to program it then or will it come ready to go for a stock motor?

Alltrax can be programmed with a usb printer cable and a laptop with free software. Depending on who you order it through they can preprogram whatever you need.
