2005 Club Car Precedent coil bad?
Have a 2005 Club Car Precedent that I tested the coil with inline spark tester and it will fire about twice then goes dead. Or could it be the GCOR? As I see it there is no easy way to get to the coil. Either pull engine or remove the whole body to get to the engine to remove all the bolts to get to coil.

Re: 2005 Club Car Precedent coil bad?
Sounds like a bad coil to me, and no they’re not easy to change. Don’t buy a cheapie, or you’ll be pulling the engine again. Get a real deal Kawasaki coil for it.
Can’t remember if the precedents had a rev limiter on the front of the engine but that could cause similar symptoms if it has gone bad. Black rectangle right above the oil drain plug. Has a brown wire hooked to the mounting bracket. Disconnect the brown wire from the bracket and tape it so it can’t touch anything metal. Check for spark again and see what you get. |
