Jakes Lift Kit- Excess Wheel Play
Hey, I am looking for some advice on spares for what I think is a CLUB CAR DS JAKES LONG TRAVEL LIFT KIT. The kit was installed when I bought the cart and I always noticed the front wheels had some play. The cart now needs an annual inspection and its been failed on the problem. The inspector mentioned new ball joints although I'm not sure where the best place is to go or what size I would need. I was hoping someone might know if I can buy any type of servicing kit? Can anyone advise? I've emailed Jakes directly but no reply as yet. Thanks! Image attached

Re: Jakes Lift Kit- Excess Wheel Play
I would call Jake's directly and get to the tech department. They will know if those can be easily replaced and if they have the parts. Sometimes large company emails get ignored or missed. I have always called the companies directly and had good success. I'm sure the parts are available.
Those are just Heim Joints, they can be purchased at any speed shop, like Summit or Speedway. You just have to know the size of the hole and the size of the threads. Most times they are $10 each for the cheaper ones. |
