My dad has a 2014 club car precedent gas cart. He's doing an oil change and we can't locate the oil filter to change it. Ive googled and searched on here. Can anyone help? Thanks.

If it has the Subaru EFI engine, it doesn't have an oil filter.

So, that’s a yes or a no on the oil filter? LOL. Seems that’s what my google search leads me to also. Some say it does and some day it doesn’t. . Can I tell by looking at the engine If it’s that Subaru engine?

Ok - it’s a Subaru ex 40 engine. Does that help?

I’m a novice. Speech therapist - not a golf cart expert. Haha. Are Subaru efi and ex40 synonymous?

Yes, In a way.
The EX40 is used on many different types of power equipment, mowers, generators, pressure washers, etc. It usually has carburetor, as do the majority of other small engines.
Club Car worked with Subaru to develop their own EFI system for Club Car carts. It is not the only implementation of an EFI system on the EX40. But the EFI version of the EX40 is the only Subaru engine offered by Club Car. So Subaru, EFI, and EX40, are synonymous when relating to Club car.
Hope that helps.

It doesn’t need one. Same reason the majority of lawn mower, pressure washer, and other small power equipment engines don’t need one.
