Default Split the case on a 244 Robin

Is there a gasket between the cases or should I silicone it? I can't seem to find a gasket online. 1986 Marathon

I think if you split the case you need a seal inbetween them, or else you wont get a very good vaccum in the bottom end. Silicon should work, just make sure not to get it on any moving parts.

You can use RTV, but when I rebuilt my Robin I used anaerobic gasket maker. It lookes alot like locktite, and its the stuff I use on any super tight joints between case components that could squish the rtv out. Like transfer cases.
