voltage drop
I have installed new batteries in my 04 G22e cart and was curious as to how much voltage drop should occur? Right now fully charged I'm getting a reading of 50.5v to 50.7v. on a 48v pack. Upon taking off it drops to 46.5-47v and once up to speed it settles around 47.5- 48v. Before I installed the new batteries, it would drop to 29-32v on take off and settle around 34-37v once at speed. Does this seem normal?
Thanks , Vic |

Re: voltage drop
It will drop some of coarse. A lot of it will depend on how many amps your pulling. If its lifted with big tires it shold be normal because your pulling more amps trying to get the larger tires up to speed. If you added an aftermarket motor and didn't upgrade the controller its probly normal.

Re: voltage drop
Its bone stock for now. I do plan on adding tires and wheels later on , but they are going to be Lo-Pro rubber. I was just curious about the voltage drop. I knew it would drop some, but was hoping the amount it was dropping off was normal.
Thanks, Vic |

Re: voltage drop
That is a normal voltage drop. That is one of the disadvantages of using a voltmeter, you see the voltage drop and immediately get paranoid. It's all good information if you know how to interpret it. I only use the digital state of charge meter and don't have any of that fluctuation, at the same time, it only gives me approximate readings like a gas gauge as opposed to an accurate voltage reading. If I need more info, I attach the voltmeter to it and go for a ride.

Re: voltage drop
thanks for easing my mind. I felt that it was normal but I'm still learning about how these carts operate. Once again thanks
